Careerfest Rebrand

Redesigned branding material for Sephora’s Careerfest, the Education Department’s internal employee success program. The updated branding elements feature a “building block” pattern to align with Careerfest’s goals for employee growth. The idea was to create a modern look that felt fun, inspiring, and engaging for employees.
Before: The previous branding was quite muted in color and lacked a bit of variety and contrast. Additionally, the handwritten typeface of the wordmark carries a whimsical design that doesn’t necessarily match the tone of the program.
After: The circle was reduced to shapes to form a unique pattern allowing for stronger visual interest and interchangeability for future designs. Stripes were added to provide texture, variety, and familiarity with the Sephora brand. The new wordmark features a stronger sans-serif typeface and has more contrast in both color and weight to visually separate the word.
The goal was to maintain recognizable elements and color palette while creating a more modern look.
